Maraetai

We reclad and renovated this stunning property in the beautiful seaside suburb of Maraetai.

It was originally clad in Hardibacker with a thin layer of plaster over the top. We undertook a total reclad with pine bevel back weatherboards, and then spray painted the existing roof black. We demolished and rebuilt extensive membrane decks around the property. They now have a floating tile system and glass hand rails that make the most of the incredible ocean view.

RECLADDING PROJECT

We added a small extension on the ocean side of the property.

This ensured there was enough space to move the kitchen, which had previously been tucked down the back of the house. We installed new double glazed joinery to create a dryer, healthier home, and undertook a full paint throughout.
