ABOUT
Chris grew up on a dairy farm in Whitford. He then became a dairy farmer after completing a farming apprenticeship and working on farms in Clevedon, Waiuku and Whakamaru.
He started building in 2006 while travelling, and worked on high-end properties in London. On his return to New Zealand, Chris started a building apprenticeship and worked for several construction companies, while improving his skills and learning as much as he could about the trade.
Once fully qualified, Chris began to take on various jobs; ranging from simple projects to high-end renovations. He discovered his passion for re-cladding in 2014 and through years of experience, education and dedication, has gained a high level of expertise in this field.
Chris enjoys helping homeowners through what can be an overwhelming time, by making the building process as stress-free as possible.
Chris has a National Certificate in Carpentry, is a Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP) and a member of New Zealand Certified Builders (NZCB).

Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP)
A licensed building practitioner is someone who has been assessed as competent to carry out building work that is essential to the structure or weather-tightness of a residential building. LBPs are accountable to the Building Practitioner’s Board and must maintain current skills and knowledge and stay up to date with materials, products, regulations and good trade practices. Only an LBP can carry out or supervise Restricted Building Work (RBW).
Restricted Building Work (RBW)
Restricted Building Work includes any building or alteration that is critical to the integrity of a building. In particular, it ensures the building is structurally sound and weathertight. RBW includes:

New Zealand Certified Builders (NZCB) is the only builder association in New Zealand with strict entry criteria. Approved members must hold a recognised industry trade qualification in carpentry, have a history of stability, success and a solid reputation for realising homeowner’s aspirations.

Exclusive to NZCB members is the Halo 10-Year Residential Guarantee, which protects you and your housing investment for a full 10 years after completion of the build, even if your builder stops working as a builder during that time. If something goes wrong after the completion of your build, the guarantee steps in to fix any problems or pay you a cash settlement.
